Is it me, or is having Stu Holden hang around Owen Coyle bringing out the Scottish brogue of the Aberdeen native?  Or maybe its the reporter.  Judge for yourself:

CONCACAF Combo!

A deuce from the Deuce to give Fulham the 2-0 win over Wigan at the Cottage.  Dempsey's first goal of the match was a far-post header which came off a tasty cross from his Mexican international teammate Carlos Salcido.  This is the second time the two have combined for a goal since Salcido's arrival from PSV Eindhoven.  Nice to see the boys from our oft maligned confederation getting it done in the Prem.  Highlights over at TOW.  The second goal off a cross from the opposite side - beautiful volley leading to a nice comfortable win for the Whites.  Up to 8th in the table after this one.  COYW!

Absolutely sick goal.  If you throw the tennis racket at enough balls you bound to have one bonce off over the net.  Can't score if you don't shoot.

Call-ups - Time to try 4-3-3 again?

So last time the USMNT rolled out a 4-3-3 it was a bit of a disaster (I think it was that World Cup qualifier in Costa Rica where we lost bad).  But with Mikey Bradley, Jermaine Jones and Stuart "90-minutes/week in the middle of the prem" Holden - I would forgive Bob Bradley if he left just those three across the middle to control things, sticking Jozy, Demps and Bedoya (Donovan on another day) up top.
